Welcome to my blog! As a former librarian and a homeschooling mother of two, books have a very important place in my life. I started buying books for my oldest son while he was still in the womb; I was so excited to share all of my childhood favorites with him. I've spent countless hours with him on my lap, and more recently with both of my sons cuddled up against me, reading aloud story after story. I was surprised to find that I could read fairly lengthy stories to them at very young ages, provided the story was interesting, well-written, and beautifully illustrated. Over the years we've accumulated quite a library of our favorites, and checked hundreds more out of our public library system. We read for pleasure and for education, and this blog is dedicated to sharing our favorite books and educational materials.
